Craft Scissors

Every craft has its own scissor: small pointed scissors that cut thread close to the fabric for embroidery and cross stitch, tailor's shears that cut fabric for sewing, plastic-handle scissors for thick yarn in knitting and macramé. This page gathers every scissor at Hobianna: Taksun 21.5 cm tailor's shears, Taksun clear-handle 20 cm scissors, Singer coloured scissors, pointed embroidery scissors and thread snips. Branch selections are in Embroidery Scissors, Cross Stitch Scissors, Sewing Scissors and Knitting Scissors.

Which Scissor for Which Job?

The 9–10 cm pointed embroidery scissor for thread ends and unpicking; the 20 cm plastic-handle scissor for yarn, felt and paper patterns; the 21.5 cm tailor's shears for cutting fabric. Keep fabric scissors for fabric only, since paper dulls the blade. Store them sheathed and dry; stainless models last longest.
