Wooden Thread Organizers

A thread organizer is a wooden board where the floss colours of a project are looped through holes and the code written beside them; skeins do not mix, the colour order of the chart is kept and the craft basket stays tidy. This page gathers all the thread organizers at Hobianna: Istanbul, Olivia, Cute Cat and more wooden designs laser cut in the Kadıköy workshop, with capacity for 20–30 colours. How to Use It

Cut the skein into 40–45 cm lengths, fold in half, pass through the hole and loop; write or label the DMC code beside the hole. Use several organizers together on large cross stitch and tapestry projects; wool skeins and pearl cotton fit too. The raw wood can be painted; for boxed storage see Thread Storage Box.
